Dorothy B. Wickel

Dorothy B. Wickel, a resident of Pennswood Manor, died Wednesday morning at the
Adams Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of Frederick J. Wickel, who died
April 6, 1981.
Born in Scranton, daughter of William P. and Elizabeth Hafner
Brandt, she was a lifelong member of the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church.
Prior to retirement, she was employed by the Pennsylvania State Insurance
Department.
Surviving are a son, Robert F. Wickel, Toms River, N.J.; a
brother, Robert G. Brandt, Scranton; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
and two nieces.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, William P.
Brandt Jr. and Russell H. Brandt.
The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Miller Bean
Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., with services by the Rev. Tom H. Collins,
pastor, Hickory Street Presbyterian Church. Interment, Abington Hills Cemetery,
South Abington Township.
There will be no public calling hours. Memorial contributions
may be made to the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church, 435 Hickory St.,
