Evelyn M. Lucke Wilson, 80, a lifelong East Mountain section resident, died early Friday morning after a lengthy illness. She and her husband, John "Jack" Wilson, celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary Oct. 18.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Paul and Marie Walser Lucke, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church. Before retirement, she was employed by Herff-Jones Co.
Also surviving are two sons, Dale, Waverly, and John Jr., Northampton; a daughter, Cheryl O'Hora, Scranton; two sisters, Margaret Johnston, Johnson City, N.Y., and Madelyn Jerome, Kirkwood, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson and two brothers, Edward and Paul.
The funeral will be Monday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., with Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1101 Froude Ave. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
