Mary Supron Neu

Mary Supron Neu, 86, a longtime resident of Scranton, died Friday evening at the VNA Hospice of Lackawanna County Inpatient Unit at Community Medical Center. She was the wife of Carl Neu. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary Sept. 16.
Born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Roman and Anastecia Supron, she was a member of the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church. Before retirement, she worked in the cafeteria at Northeastern Bank for more than 20 years.
Also surviving are a daughter, Linda Phillips, Mint Hill, N.C.; a sister, Eleanor Macaulay, Lambertville, N.J.; a brother, Nicholas Supron, Galion, Ohio; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine.
The funeral and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Hickory Street Presbyterian Church, 435 Hickory St., 18505-1170.
