Peter Joseph Lee Sr., 77, of Scranton, died Monday morning at Adams Manor
nursing home after an illness. His wife is the former Constance "Connie"
Norkaitis.
Born in Clarks Summit, son of the late Patrick and Edith
Wheeler Lee, he was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Church. He was a Navy
veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, and was a
member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3451 and a life member of the Disabled
American Veterans.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and
great-grandfather who will be very much missed by all whoknew him. He was an
avid fisherman, bingo player and was a volunteer at Allied Services.
Also surviving are three sons, Patrick Lee, Dunmore; Peter
Lee Jr., Scranton; and John DonVito Jr., West Pittston; four daughters, Mary
Linda Frietto, Scranton; Suzette Wayman and Brenda Buntz, both of Dunmore; and
Connie Hudak, Dickson City; 33 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; nieces and
nephews.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Parcel,
Henry, James and Patrick; a daughter, Peggy Schmidt; and a grandson.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar
Ave., with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Nativity of Our Lord Church, 633 Orchard St.
