Clare C. Fort

Clare C. Fort, 86, of Scranton, formerly of Fair Lawn, N.J., died Saturday afternoon at Adams Manor after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Albert L. Fort.
Born in Bayonne, N.J., daughter of the late Michael and Mary Garrity Burke, she was employed before retirement by Western Electric in Fair Lawn and Kearny, N.J.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Surviving are a son, Kevin A., Dunmore; two grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Corneillous Burke, and two sisters, Catherine Long and Florence Scheck.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 303 Smith St., Dunmore. Interment will be private.
