In 1987, she was honored for having sung over 60 years in the church choir with her beautiful alto voice, beginning at age 10. During her marriage, she was a devoted homemaker.

She was a person who believed that every day was a gift from God and should be lived to the fullest. Over the years, many individuals received cards from her penned with her distinctive handwriting, as well as her visits, whether in the hospital, nursing home or private residence. She was known for her warmth and smile, and will be remembered by many for her generosity and kindness.
