
David Games Jr.

David Games Jr., 78, a resident of Scranton, died Friday morning at Moses Taylor Hospital after an illness. His wife of 58 years is the former Lois A. Brazil.
Born in Scranton, son of the late David and Mary Rossi Games, he was educated in Scranton schools. A Navy veteran of World War II, he served with distinction. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and later was a member of the Maj. Edward J. Poch Post 948, Scranton. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Scranton Fire Department as assistant chief.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Also surviving are a daughter, Marsha Jennings and her husband John, Dunmore; a son, David, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Lisa Games and Michael Games, both of Virginia; Gary P. McIntyre Jr. and his wife, Karen, Dalton; David Games McIntyre and his wife, Kirsten, Old Forge; Yvonne Coggins, Dunmore; Mary Blaker, Scranton; Deborah Nystrand, Mount Cobb; and Nancy Jennings, Throop; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn McIntyre and Colin McIntyre, both of Dalton; and David Robert McIntyre, Old Forge; and several nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Joan MacDonald.
The funeral will be Monday with services at 10 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.
