Florence E. Gallucci

    Florence Elizabeth Reilly Gallucci, 91, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Thursday morning in the VNA Inpatient Hospice Unit at Community Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Leonard J. Gallucci, who died June 21, 1976.

    Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Patrick and Theresia Foster Reilly, she was a graduate of St. Mary's of the Assumption High School, Scranton. A member of Immaculate Conception Church, she was active in and supportive of their organizations and activities. Along with her husband, she was a member of the Elks Club.

    She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, knitting, loved to read and was an avid gardener.

    Surviving are a daughter, Marie Catracchia, and her husband Joseph, Scranton; a brother, John Reilly, Scranton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    She was preceded in death by an infant son, John Leonard Gallucci; five brothers, Edward, Robert, Henry, William and Joseph Reilly; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Reilly.

    The funeral will be Monday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 800 Taylor Ave. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
