Marie Rose Genett

Marie Rose Yacavone Genett, 70, a resident of Scranton, died early Tuesday at Moses Taylor Hospital after an illness. She was the widow of Francis "Sam" Genett, who died in 1982.
Born Feb. 22, 1934, in Scranton, daughter of the late Nicholas H. and Leona Bates Yacavone, she was employed by Holiday Manor nursing home before her retirement in 1987.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, sister, aunt and friend who enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
Surviving are a son, Samuel Genett, Moscow; two daughters, Vita Wilds and Sue Sweeney, both of Dickson City; a sister, Ann Yacavone Bohan, Scranton; five grandchildren, Jessica Antolick, Fleetville; Samuel N. Genett, Dunn, N.C.; and Eric Wilds and Kayla and Danny Sweeney, all of Dick son City; a great-grandson, Nicholas Antolick, Fleetville; and a niece, Elizabeth Bohan, Scranton.
The funeral and interment were private. There will be no pubic calling hours.
