Evelyn H. Orr, 80, a resident of Lafayette, LA, formerly of Scranton, died late Sunday night at the Southwest Medical Center, Lafayette, after an illness. She was the widow of George M. Orr, who died Jan. 17, 1995.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late William and Edna Kirchoff McGreevy, she was a member of Hickory Street Presbyterian Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a bookbinder by Haddon Craftsmen.
Surviving are a son, George and his wife, Adele, Lafayette, LA; a sister, Eleanor Levis, Fairfax, VA; two granddaughters, Stephanie Orr, Houston, and Jessica Orr, Atlanta; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., with services by the Rev. Tom H. Collins, pastor, Hickory Street Presbyterian Church. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery, Dunmore.
