
Felicia B. Weiss

Felicia B. Weiss, a longtime resident of Scranton, died early Saturday at Moses Taylor Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Matthew T. Weiss Sr., who died Feb. 12. They had celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary Jan. 27.
Born in Forest City, daughter of the late Peter and Veronica Klaczkowski Chrapowicki, she was educated in Scranton public schools. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, South Scranton, and was active with the American Cancer Society. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Casual Sportswear Inc.
She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
Surviving are a son, Matthew T. Jr., Scranton; two daughters, Barbara F. Viola, Philadelphia; and Patricia M. Clemons, St. Augustine, Fla.; two brothers, Peter Chrapowicki, Old Forge; and Leo Chrapowicki, Taylor; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Edna Lipski, Julianna Janssen, Veronica Matzker and Helen Bernacki, and two brothers, Anthony and Frank Chrapowicki.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's of the Assumption Church. Entombment, Cathedral Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends may call Tuesday, 3 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
