Margaret Ulrich, 80, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died early Monday morning at Community Medical Center after an illness.
Born Feb. 22, 1924, in Scranton, daughter of the late Julius and Anna Hanselman Ulrich, she was one of six children. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, South Scranton. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the Saquoit Silk Mill, Scranton.
Surviving are a sister, Barbara Buchner, Stratford, Conn.; a brother, Julius Ulrich and his wife, Ceilia, New Port Richey, Fla.; three nieces, Joann Milani, Windgap; Marilynn Ulrich, Tampa, Fla., and Marlene Widdick, Stratford, Conn., and her family, two great-nieces, Donna Byron and her, husband Paul, Milford, Conn., and Cheryl Blanco, Stratford, Conn. and her family, a great-great-niece and a great-great-nephew, Kristen Blanco and Michael Blanco, and two great-great-great-nieces, Alexandria Matyasovszky and Rene Lozada, all of Stratford, Conn.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clemens and Billy; and a sister, Mary "Dolores" Ulrich.
Funeral will be Saturday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church., 430 River St. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, 4 to 7 p.m.
