
Charles A. Rapp

Charles A. Rapp, 89, a lifelong
resident of Scranton, died Friday morning in Allied Services Long Term Care
Center. His wife, the former Marie Emma Dippre Rapp, died Jan. 4, 2001.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Michael and Katharina Mohl
Rapp, he was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, South
Scranton, and the Catholic Golden Age. He was assistant scout master of
Troop 42 and a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp. Prior to
retirement, he had been employed by Truck Parts, Scranton.
Surviving are a son, Donald Rapp, and his wife Sally,
Factoryville; a daughter, Carol Jennings, Barnegat, N.J.; a sister, Pearl
Summa, Scranton; a sister-in-law, Delores Czekalski, Scranton; seven
grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael; and a sister,
Minnie Graff.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home
Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's of the Assumption
Church. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
