Jean M. Rafalko

Jean M. Rafalko, 83, a longtime resident of the Greenwood section, died Saturday
morning in Moses Taylor Hospital's VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit after an illness.
She was the widow of Edward Rafalko, who died Sept. 13, 1967.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Stanley and Mary
Paluchowska Satkofsky, she was a member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary
Church, South Scranton. Prior to retirement, she had been employed by the West
Side Bank, Moosic, and by Kmart, Moosic. From 1981 until 1991, she volunteered
as a driver for the Meals on Wheels of Northeastern Pennsylvania program.
She enjoyed driving her car, working around the house and
especially cooking and taking care of her family.
Surviving are two sons, Edward and John, both of Scranton;
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, John,
Stanley and Andrew; and three sisters, Sophie Sidorowicz, Anna Anderson and
Sadie Satkofsky.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home
Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., with Mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary
Church, 1217 Prospect Ave. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwood.
Friends may call Monday, 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions
