Mary  Lloyd

    Mary Theresa Lloyd, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Monday morning in the Allied Skilled Nursing Center. She was the widow of William Edward Lloyd who died July 7, 2001.

    She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late James and Anna Higgins Brier. A graduate of St. Mary’s of the Assumption High School and a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, Scranton.

    Surviving is a son Anthony Lloyd, Scranton; 2 brothers; Robert Brier, Clarks Summit and James Brier, Jupiter, FL; a nephew.

    She was preceded by a sister Irene Brier.

    Mass will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, 430 River St. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. There will be no public viewing hours, friends attending the Mass are asked to go directly to the Church. Arrangements by Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc.
