Geraldine A. Glynn, R.N.

    Geraldine A. “Gerry” Glynn, R.N., 78, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died early Wednesday morning in the Mountain Rest Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Scranton Detective Frank Glynn who died August 8, 1989.


    She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Daniel and Ruth Wilcom Williams. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. A 1944 graduate of Central High School and a graduate of the Scranton State Hospital School of Nursing, prior to retirement she worked locally as a Registered Nurse.

 

    She was loved by all and will be missed.


    Surviving are 2 sons, Frank and his wife Mary Kay, Lake Ariel, Robert and his wife Darlene, Clarks Summit; a brother, Frank and his wife Mildred, Scranton; a daughter in law, Joyce Glynn, Clarks Summit; 6 grandchildren, Frank, Jr, Kimberly, Geoffrey, Bradley, Adriannah and Jeramie, many nieces and nephews.
 

    She was preceded in death a son Paul in 1993; a brother, Charles; a sister, Joan Murray.
 

    The funeral will be Saturday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 1605 Oram Street, Scranton. Interment Cathedral Cemetery.
