Nora M. Beckett Casteel

    Nora M. Beckett Casteel, 48, a resident of Taylor, died Tuesday afternoon in the Mercy Hospital Hospice Unit after a lengthy illness She is survived by her long time companion and friend, David J. Williams, Scranton.

    She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late William E. Beckett and Lydia E. Heil Beckett McGurrin. She was a graduate of Bishop Klonowski High School, earned an Associates degree from Penn State, Worthington Campus and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Wilkes University. She was employed as an Educational Advisor and Web Designer for Thompson Educational Direct.

    Also surviving is a daughter, Danielle Casteel, Taylor, a sister, Arlene Millar, Cameron, NC; a brother, David Androsiezsko, Monument, CO; nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by a brother, William E. Beckett Jr..

    The funeral will be Saturday at 10 am in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with services by Father Daniel Jones, Rector of Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Wilkes Barre. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

    Friends may call Friday 6 to 9 pm and Saturday 9 am until time of service. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 1101 Hill Street, Jessup, PA 18434-1659, or the donors favorite Charity.
