Joseph F. Kugler, 91, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Tuesday in the Moses Taylor Hospital VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit. His wife the former Marie Flesch died July 28, 1984.
He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Joseph and
Madeline Moyles Kugler. He was a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church
and was employed for many years as a car mans helper for the D. L. & W. Railroad
in their Keyser Valley Shop. Prior to retirement he was employed by the Scranton
School District.
Surviving are a daughter, Rose Marie and her husband Albert
Fisher, Scranton; a grandson Joseph Fisher, Easton; a granddaughter, Jane Marie
Fisher, Long Island, NY and a nephew and his wife, Earl and Nancy Kugler.
The Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s of
the Assumption Church, 430 River Street, Scranton. Family and friends are
invited to attend the Funeral Mass and are asked to go directly to the church.
Interment will be private in the parish cemetery.
