Jack Edward Parry Sr., a resident of Scranton, died Wednesday morning in the Mercy Hospital Hospice Unit. He and his wife the former Ethel Gaus would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary September 10, 2005.
He was born in Madison Township, the son of the late Howard
and Stella Mae Edwards Parry. He was a graduate of Greene-Dreher High School and
prior to retirement he had been employed as a welder by General Dynamics.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who
will be missed by all.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jill Browne, Carbondale,
Jennifer Yankowski, Florida; a son, Jack E., Jr., Tunkhannock, a brother, Fred
Parry, Scranton; 5 grandchildren, Dwayne Enslin Jr., Todd Enslin, Christine
Parry, Cody Browne, Trevor Browne; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by 6 brothers, Albert, Ralph,
Donald, Eugene, Gerald and Leonard.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 am in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Services by Deacon Frank Gaus. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
Friends may call Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Memorial
