Thomas P. Coyne, 67, a resident of Scranton, formerly of Jenkintown, died early Tuesday morning in the Mercy Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit after an illness. His widow is the former Marilyn James, San Diego, CA.
He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Thomas and Alice
Walsh Coyne. He attended St. Patrick’s Church, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air
Force. Prior to retirement he had been employed by S.P.S. Technologies, Inc.,
Jenkintown.
Surviving are a daughter, Colleen Apicella, Branchburg, NJ; a
son, Darren, Morrisville, NC; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Coyne, Haley Apicella and
Alexa Apicella, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jerry and Jack; a
sister, Ann Moran.
Cremation services were held at Maple Hill Crematory, Hanover
Township. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate
Heart of Mary Chapel, 1605 Oram Street, Scranton. Inurnment Cathedral Cemetery.
There will be no public calling hours. Memorial Contributions
