
Marie Heisler

Marie Heisler, 70, of Ransom Township, died Monday morning in the Moses Taylor
Hospital after an illness. She and her husband Walter A. Heisler, a retired
printer of the Scranton Times, celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary July 1,
2005.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Joseph and
Catherine Powell Luby. She was educated in Scranton schools. Until it’s closing
last year, she was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and the Altar and
Rosary Society, she then became a member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church.
Marie was a caring and loving person, who devoted herself to
her family.
Also surviving are, 4 sons, David and his wife Mary,
Scranton; Mark and his wife Kathleen, Scranton; Luke and his wife Marianne,
Chinchilla, Matthew and his wife Laura, Ransom Township; a daughter, Christa
Heisler, Ransom Township; 2 brothers; Joseph Luby, Scranton; James Luby, Moscow;
2 sisters, Evelyn Eisele, Peckville, Joan Murray, Ransom Township; 8
grandchildren, Annarose Heisler, Mark, Matthew, and Michael Heisler, Janelle and
Valerie Heisler, Erika and Madelyn Heisler; many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Miller Bean
Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in the Immaculate
Heart of Mary Chapel, 1605 Oram Street, by Father Carl Gismondi, Pastor of St.
Michael’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment, Saint Catherine’s Cemetery,
Covington Township.
