Gary Anthony Jasieniecki, 57, a resident of Scranton, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, at home.
He was born in Scranton, the son of Stanley Jasieniecki,
Scranton and the late Theresa Orlando Jasieniecki. He was a graduate of South
Catholic High School, the Johnson Technical School as a machinist, a Vietnam
Veteran serving in the U.S. Army, a Volunteer at the Lighthouse of Scranton and
the St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen. Prior to retirement he had been employed by
Tobyhanna Army Depot.
He was a wonderful and loving, son, father, grandfather,
brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed. He was an avid fan of
NASCAR racing and the Oakland Raiders. He loved playing the guitar and listening
to the Beatles music.
Surviving are 4 daughters, Rebecca Panunzio and her husband
Michael, Dunmore, Emily Jasieniecki, Scranton, Sara Riley and her husband Sean,
Scranton and Mary Claire Jasieniecki, Dunmore; 3 sisters, Mary Denise Healey and
her husband Timothy, Moosic, Andrea Demuth and her husband Gerard, Clarks
Summit, Susan Martin and her husband Kenneth, Scranton; a brother, Stanley
Richard Jasieniecki, Scranton; his former wife and friend Bonnie Jasieniecki,
Dunmore; 3 grandchildren, Nicholas Panunzio, Dominick Panunzio, and Hannah
Jasieniecki, several nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael F. “Jason”
Jasieniecki.
There will be a memorial Mass Saturday at 10 a.m. in Sacred
Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, 1217 Prospect Avenue. Inurnment, Cathedral
Cemetery, Scranton.
