Sally A. Naegeli, 65, a resident of Scranton, died Thursday morning in the Moses Taylor VNA Hospice Unit, after an illness.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late John E.
and Ruth C. Chase Naegeli. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School,
a lifetime member of Saint Matthews Lutheran Church, formerly St. John’s
Lutheran Church, and was active with the church council, various church
organizations and a former member of the Luther League. She was a girl scout
troop leader and prior to retiring had been employed as an elevator operator in
the Scranton National Bank, Goodwill Industries and Penn Security Bank
buildings.
Surviving are 3 aunts, Shirley Cook, Audrey Herrick and Doris
Chase, all of Scranton; many cousins.
A special thanks to her home care aids Cindy and Candice
Belardi, and Debbie Alexander.
The funeral will be Saturday with Services and Committal in
St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 425 Jefferson Avenue, at 10 a.m., by the Reverend
Lester Stephenson. Those attending the Services are asked to go directly to
the church. Interment will be private in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
Friends may call Friday 4 to 8 p.m. in the Miller Bean
Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue. Memorial contributions can be made in her
