Gail Bannon Simone, 54, a resident of Scranton, died Sunday morning at home after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her first husband Ronald Webb who died July 2, 1983, and survived by her former husband, Louis J. Simone.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth Allgood Bannon, a member of Holy Cross Church and the Nativity Social Club. She was a Certified Nurses Aide for over 20 years.
She loved being a grandmother, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are a son, Ronald Webb, Dunmore; 2 daughters, Patricia Mullen and Tracy Webb both of Scranton; three sisters, Joan Steinetz, St. Petersburg, FL, Rosemary Isbitski and Mary Lou Seidita, both of Scranton; 4 brothers, Robert Bannon, Modesto, CA, Eugene Bannon, Donald Bannon and Jack Bannon all of Scranton; 8 grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Lois Borgna and Elizabeth Duffy; a brother Joseph Bannon.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Patrick’s Church, 1403 Jackson Street. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
