Frederick A. Marker

    Frederick A. Marker, 92, currently residing in Dallas, TX with his daughter Donna Dolecki, formerly a long time resident of the East Mountain section of Scranton, died Thursday evening in the Harris Methodist Hospital, Bedford, TX, after an illness. His wife, the former Alice R. O'Halloran died April 12, 1989.

    He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Conrad and Loretta Arnold Marker. He was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Church, the Elks Club, a member of the Pipe fitters & Steamfitters local #900 and the last surviving member of the Comrades Club, Lake Winola. He retired as Production Control Manager after 30 years of employment at the Trane Company.

    Surviving is a son, Michael Marker and his wife Bonnie, Lilburn, GA; a daughter, Donna Dolecki and her husband Myron, Dallas, TX; a brother, Alexander Marker, Live Oak, FL; 5 grandchildren, Sean Marker, Charlotte, NC, Kelly Marker and Erin Beaver, both of Atlanta, GA, Eric Dolecki and Brian Dolecki, both of Dallas, TX; 2 great grandsons, Aiden and Neil Dolecki, both of Dallas, TX; a great granddaughter, Savannah Grace Beaver, Atlanta, GA; nieces & nephews.

    He was preceded in death by three brothers, Vincent, Conrad and Russell.

    The funeral will be Thursday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, corner of East Elm Street and Froude Avenue on the East Mountain. Interment, St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Minooka section of Scranton.
