He was born March 1, 1931 in Scranton, the son of the late David Paul and Jennie Riggall Warrick. He was educated in Scranton Public Schools and was a member of St. David’s Church, West Scranton. He was a member of the Naval Reserves prior to serving with the 82nd Airborne in the US Army during the Korean war. He was a member of the VFW Post #7609, Clarks Summit, the Lackawanna County Constable Association, Chapter 20, the Pennsylvania State Constables Association and a life member of the North American Hunting Club. He was an avid fisherman. Prior to retirement he was employed by Gutheinz Meats for 29 years where he served as Union Steward and vice president of the Meat Cutters union local 72, Kingston. He was also employed by the Moses Taylor Hospital for 18 years.

    He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and loyal friend who enjoyed his time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

    Also surviving is a son, Bob Warrick and his wife Janice, Scranton; 4 daughters, Mrs. Jackie Castanzo and her husband Bob, Duryea, Mrs. Dolly Woody and her husband Tim, Scranton, Mrs. Chris Palermo and her husband Dave, Dunmore and Nancie Warrick, Scranton; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Warrick; 3 brothers, Daniel, David and Charles.

    The funeral will be Monday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. David’s Church, 2523 Jackson Street. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
