Lori Ann Tompkins, 44, a lifelong resident of South Scranton, died early Monday morning at home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of Harold and Beverly J. Harper Tompkins, Scranton. She was a graduate of West Scranton High School, Bill Fox Special education Class.
Lori Ann was a very special girl who once you met, you could never forget, and would always look forward to seeing again. She enjoyed watching all sports and especially going to the Red Barons games were she had a perfect attendance record. She was a wonderful daughter who showed a great deal of love to her parents and the people that she knew. Lori Ann liked everyone and had a kind word for all.
Also surviving are two sisters, Donna Mecca, Harrisburg and Linda Barbaro, San Diego, CA; a niece and three nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Willard and Bernice Hall Harper and paternal grandparents, Clarence and Anna Robinson Tompkins.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with mass at 9:30 a.m. in Nativity of Our Lord Church, 633 Orchard Street. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
