Eleanor K. Hafner, 92, a resident of Covington Township, died Friday evening in VNA Hospice of Lackawanna County inpatient unit at Community Medical Center. She was the widow of Anthony Paul Hafner Jr., who died July 16, 2000.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Adam and Estelle Hallett Killian. Prior to retirement she had been employed by the Elks Club as a hostess.
Surviving are a niece Joan Stanton, Scranton; grand nephews, Jeffrey Stanton, Moscow and Bradley Stanton, Dauphin; a grand niece Kimberly Stanton, Burlington, NJ; five great grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister Lucille E. Snyder.
The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Services by the Rev. Alvin Mayo, retired, her Godson. Entombment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
