Gerald W. Brenne

Gerald W. Brenne, a long time resident of Scranton, died Sunday afternoon in the Mercy Hospital. His widow is the former Donna Kearney.
He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Roland and Margaret Reap Brenne. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and prior to retirement he had been employed in the circulation department of The Scranton Times .
Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Buttner and her husband Frederick G., Scranton and Sheila Kneiss, Pottstown; a brother, Robert Brenne, Peckville; a sister, Peggy Ann Silversides, CA; a granddaughter, Jennifer Schaffer, Scranton; a great granddaughter, Cadence; a nephew and nieces.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Brenne.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated August 12, at 9 a.m. in Saint John the Evangelist Church, 1501 Pittston Avenue. Interment, Saint Catherine's Cemetery, Covington Township.
