Kathryn McGurrin Czekalski

Kathryn B. "Kitty" McGurrin Czekalski, 96, a resident of Pleasantville, NY, were she resided with her daughter Catherine Daniele, died Thursday morning in Northern West Chester Hospital, Mount Kisco, NY after a brief illness. She was a former resident of Scranton who resided at 616 Cedar Avenue and the widow of Leonard Czekalski who died September 17, 1996.
She was born in Witt, IL, the daughter of the late John and Mary Carpenter Lally. She was a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, South Scranton and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Also Surviving are two sons, Gary Czekalski, Hop Bottom, Robert McGurrin, England; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Adams Rade; a brother Thomas Lally.
Cremation services took place at the Ferncliff Crematory, Hartsdale, NY. A memorial service will be held Thursday in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue at 12 noon, by Monsignor Dale R. Rupert, Pastor of Saint Mary’s of the Assumption Church. Inurnment will follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Covington Township.
The family will greet friends in the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
