Marjorie H. Wetter, 85, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died late Wednesday evening in the VNA Hospice of Lackawanna County Inpatient Unit at Community Medical Center. She was the widow of George L. Wetter who died October 10, 1982.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Ralph and Augusta Misch Genello.
Surviving is a daughter, Joanne Mundy, Scranton; a son, Ronald J. Wetter, Wilmington, DE; two sisters, Joan Jones and Irene Bernacik, both of Scranton; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert G. Wetter; an infant daughter, Sharon Wetter; a granddaughter, Michelle Wetter; five sisters, June Genello, Ruth Bartos, Evelyn Walsh, Wanda Sloss and Sherry Krienberg.
The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with services by the Reverend Fred Snyder, pastor of the Dunmore United Methodist Church, Dunmore. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
