Virginia E. Mauer

Virginia E. "Jean" Mauer, 86, a resident of the Founders Pavilion Corning, NY, a former longtime resident of Scranton and Moosic died Thursday morning in the Founders Pavilion. She was the widow of William G. Mauer who died February 3, 2002.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth McCormick Frable. Prior to retiring she worked in the family business, The Greenwood Inn, Moosic.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Orville Frable and Edwin Frable.
The Funeral will be Wednesday 9:30 a.m. from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Covington Township.
