Paul Mundy, Jr., 70, a resident of Endicott, NY, a former resident of Scranton, died Monday at home.
He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Paul and Stella Shinko Mundy, Sr.. He served proudly in the US Army. Prior to retirement he was employed as a tool and dye maker by IBM for over 25 years.
He was described as "sweet" by everyone he met, was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all. He died Monday in his home surrounded by his family and friends. A sincere thanks to his daughter Cheryl and her partner Rose for the wonderful, loving and devoted care they gave to him 24/7.
Surviving is a son, David Mundy, St. Louis, MO; four daughters, Cheryl Mundy and her partner Rose Snell, Endicott, NY, M. Susan Mundy, Waymart, Michele Vojtisek and her husband Anthony, Endicott, NY, Paula Lessnick and her husband James, Las Vegas, NV; a brother, George Mundy and his wife Lillian, Scranton; three grandchildren, Chelsea, Ryder and Aubrey-James; nieces, nephews and his former wife, Joanne Mundy, Scranton.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Stella Sokirka.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc,, 436 Cedar Avenue, with mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Lithuanian Church, Theodore Street & North Main Avenue. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
