Kathryn J. Healey Trapper, 89, a resident of Scranton, died Sunday afternoon in the Scranton Health Care Center. She was the widow of Herbert H. Trapper who died August 7, 1991.
She was born in Dunmore, the daughter of the late Anthony and Sarah Kearney Healey. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School Class of 1935, a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church and it’s Altar and Rosary Society. She would have celebrated her 90th birthday October 12th. She died surrounded by her loving family.
The Family wishes to thank the staff of the Scranton Health Care Center for their kindness and the loving care they provided to Kathryn.
Surviving are three sons, Donald and his wife Carol, Moosic, Herbert and his wife Gail, Scranton, Michael and his wife JoAnne, Scranton; a daughter Sally Nealon and her husband Paul, Whispering Pines, NC; eleven grandchildren, Karen Cardone, Donna Notari, Patty Evans, Sharon Dippre, Paul Nealon, Kevin, John, Michael, Joseph, Scott and Jeffrey Trapper; 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Herbert, Jacksonville, FL and a brother, Bernard Healey, Wilkes-Barre.
The Funeral will be Wednesday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's of the Assumption Church. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
Friends may call to Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. The family suggests in lieu of flowers that a donation can be made in her memory to Scranton Health Care Center, 2933 McCarthy Street, Scranton, PA 18505-3017 or to the donors favorite charity.
