Florence Kearney

Florence "Mutzie" Kearney, 84, a lifelong resident of the East Mountain section of Scranton, died Sunday afternoon in the Mercy Hospital. She and her husband, Richard J. "Dick" Kearney celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary September 30, 2006.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Otto and Marie Warner Lucke. She was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Church.
Also surviving are a daughter, Phyllis Kearney, Scranton; a son, Richard P. Kearney and his wife Paula, Scranton; two grandchildren, Dr. Keith Kearney, Upper Darby and Stacy Kearney, Scranton; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Russell J. Lucke.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass at 10 a.m. in the Holy Name of Jesus Church, on the corner of East Elm Street and Froude Avenue. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Covington Township.
