
Verna M. Schuler

Verna M. Schuler, a resident of Taylor, a former resident of Scranton, died Wednesday at home. She was the widow of Donald G. Schuler who died March 18, 1997.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie Stevens Dworschock. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School Class of 1940 and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church, Scranton. Prior to retirement she had been employed as a nursing assistant in local area nursing homes.
Surviving are five nephews, Mark Koval, Jessup, Kim Koval, Rosewood, George Koval, Dickson City, Jeffrey Schuler, Starrucca, Bruce Schuler, Nicholson; three nieces, Shawn Murrin, Scranton, Michele Keating, Clarks Summit, Donna Schuler Kletsko, Nicholson; a brother in law, Ronald Schuler, Nicholson; a sister in law, Barbara Dworschock, Clarks Summit and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kyle G. Schuler, a sister, Elizabeth Koval and a brother Joseph Dworschock.
The Funeral and Interment will be private at the convenience of the family with services by the Reverend Duane R. Johnson, pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church.
There will be no public calling hours. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Gino Merli Veterans Center, 401 Penn Avenue, Scranton, PA 18503-1239.
