
Joseph F. Stengline

Joseph F. Stengline, 78, a resident of Avoca, died Tuesday evening in the Mountain Rest Nursing Home, after an illness. He was the widow of the former Joan Rink who died August 2, 1974.
He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Joseph J. and Florence Lesch Stengline. Prior to retirement he had been employed as a maintenance man for Capitol Records, Fitchburg Coated Products and the Dunmore Oil Company.
Surviving are eight children, Robert, Hawley, Joseph Keith, Gouldsboro, Kenneth, Scranton, Debra Butler, GA, Richard, WA, Daniel, Elmhurst, Paul, Old Forge and Thomas, AK; a sister, Alice Steiff, Moscow; two brothers, Robert H., Moscow, Donald, Daleville; twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
The Funeral will be Friday at 8:00 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Services by Deacon John Franceschelli. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
