Jane C. Hollow

    Jane C. Hollow, 91, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Wednesday morning in the VNA hospice inpatient unit at the Moses Taylor Hospital. She was the widow of Edward James Hensley Hollow who died February 14, 2003.

    She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late John and Myrtle Morris Hartman. She was a member of the Providence Full Gospel Tabernacle and prior to retirement had been employed at St. John the Evangelist Church as their cook.

    Surviving are three daughters; Barbara Sompel and her husband John, Elizabeth, NJ, Shirley Hollow, Scranton, Janice Minet and her husband Todd, Moscow; four sons; Edwin and his wife Rita, Spokane WA, James and his wife Eileen, Moosic, Charles and his wife Jenny, Scranton, John and his wife Carrie, Greer, SC; seventeen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Sompel.

    The funeral will be Friday at 12 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Services by the Rev. Robert A. Walls, pastor of the Providence Full Gospel Tabernacle. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

    There will be no public calling hours.
