Anne L. Zumbach

    Anne L. Zumbach, 83, a resident of Scranton, died Tuesday morning in the Mercy Hospital. She was the widow of Warren C. Zumbach, Jr. who died November 24, 1972.

    She was born July 13, 1923 in Scranton and spent most of her childhood in Tallahassee, FL, the daughter of the late Herbert Bosley and Gertrude Lee Bosley Flower. She was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and Lackawanna Junior College. She was a member of Myrtle Street United Methodist Church and prior to retiring she had been employed as a an insurance agency secretary and a salesclerk at the Scranton Dry Goods.

    She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all. Who loved dancing, bowling, cooking, animals, talking to people and gardening. She loved her family.

    Surviving is a daughter, Gail A. Zumbach, Scranton; three sons, Bruce C. Zumbach, Scranton, Jack D. Zumbach and his wife Barbara Nokes Zumbach, Vernon, VT, Warner Lee Zumbach and his wife Ann, Knoxville, MD; three grandchildren, Donald Lee Zumbach, Helen A Zumbach, Nathaniel Zumbach all of Knoxville, MD; two nephews, David Zink, Cincinnati, OH and Brian Bosley, Moscow.

    She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Zink; a brother, Ralph Bosley and her beloved friend Larry Brungess.

    The funeral will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with services by Rev. Betty J. Reilly, Pastor of the Myrtle Street United Methodist Church. Interment, Milwaukee Cemetery, Ransom Township.

    Friends may call Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the donors favorite charity.
