Victoria R. Butcher

    Victoria R. Butcher, 89, a resident of Taylor, formerly of Scranton, died early Sunday morning in the Taylor Nursing Home after an illness. She was the widow of Henry "Hank" Butcher.

    She was born in Italy, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosaria Malfaira Cina. She was a member of the Nativity of Our Lord Church and was a volunteer with Telespond for 20 years. Prior to retirement she had been employed locally in the garment industry as a seamstress.

    Surviving is a brother, Nicholas A. Cina, Tacoma, WA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.

    She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Cina and Dominick Cina; three sisters, Martha Huntley, Mary Zippittelli and an infant sister Angela.

    The Funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Ann's Basilica, 1250 Saint Ann's Street. The interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
