Marion Ruth Nicolais

    Marion Ruth Perrick Nicolais, 74, a resident of Greenwood, died early Saturday morning in the Community Medical Center after a brief illness. She and her husband Donato Nicolais were married August 21, 1954 in the Green Ridge Assembly of God Church.

    She was born in May 25, 1933 in Scranton, the daughter of the late Andrew and Lillian Springer Perrick. She was a graduate of Moosic High School Class of 1952, a lifelong member of the Green Ridge Assembly of God Church where she played the piano and organ since she was ten. She also served as a Sunday School teacher, director of the youth group and member of the women's ministries.

    She enjoyed baking and gardening. She was a very caring person and was always helpful to people.

    She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Donato; three children, Daniel Nicolais and his wife Sarah, Clarks Summit, David Nicolais and his wife Darla, Berwick, Debbie Gentile and her husband Daniel, Hazleton; five grandchildren, Christopher, Lyndi, Bradley, Nicholas and Matthew.

    The funeral will be Tuesday with Services at 10 a.m. in the Green Ridge Assembly of God Church, by the Rev. David Twiss, Pastor. Interment, Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.

    Friends may call Monday 5 to 8 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc. 436 Cedar Avenue and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service in the Green Ridge Assembly of God Church, 825 Green Ridge Street. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Green Ridge Assembly of God Church for World Missions, 825 Green Ridge Street, Scranton, PA 18509-1907.
