Romaine H. Miller, 77, a resident of Roaring Brook Township, formerly of Scranton, died Friday morning in the Community Medical Center after a brief illness. She and her husband, Frank "Bumpy" Miller, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary February 23rd.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Romaine Reif Miller. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School Class of 1948, a member of St. Eulalia’s Church and a former member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church. She belonged to the North Pocono Senior Citizens and the Pocono Mountain Senior Citizens. Prior to retirement she had been employed by ARA Food Service as a supervisor in several schools in the Scranton School District.
Also surviving are three sons, Thomas F. Miller, Scranton, Donald Miller, Greentown and Richard Miller, Lake Ariel; a sister, Marilyn Brock, Scranton; four grandchildren, Thomas, Robert, Christopher and Tyler; nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be Monday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's of the Assumption Church. Interment, will be private at the convenience of the family.
