Dorothy M. Kimes

    Dorothy M. Kimes, 85, a lifelong resident of South Scranton, died Tuesday afternoon in the Golden Living Center after an illness.

    She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late George J. And Charlotte Kellerman Kimes. She was a member of the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church and prior to retirement had been employed by Gold Star Manufacturing for many years.

    Surviving are two brothers, Woodrow Kimes and his wife Margaret, Scranton, Paul Kimes and his wife Eloise, Canoga Park, CA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

    She was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Bauer; five brothers, Charles, George, Harold, Howard and Rolland.

    The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with services by the Reverend Tom H. Collins, pastor of the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church. Interment, Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Township.
