Ronald V. Migliorino, 59, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Wednesday afternoon in the VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit at the Community Medical Center.
He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Anthony and Betty Guarini Migliorino. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, a graduate of Scranton Technical High School Class of 1965and served with the United States Army reserves from 1966 until 1972. He was a member of the Dante Literary Society, UNICO Scranton Chapter, Past Master of Peter Williamson Lodge #323 Free and Accepted Masons, active in local Democratic Politics and past member of the Board of Directors for La Festa Italiana. Prior to his illness he owned Migliorino Insurance on Pittston Avenue and then Cedar Avenue.
He was a loving father, brother and friend who’s life's joy and devotion was his two sons. He was an avid baseball fan with special interest in the Yankees.
Surviving are two sons, Michael A. Migliorino, Tampa, FL., Paul R. Migliorino, Old Forge; and their mother Diana Giovannini, Pittston; a brother, Paul Migliorino, Ft. Myers, FL; a cousin, Teri Trovato, Waverly.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church., 630 Genet Street, Scranton. Interment, will be private at the convenience of the family.
The family will greet friends Saturday 1 to 3 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, Scranton. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, 63 North Franklin Street, Wilkes Barre, PA 18701-1311.
