She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Rooney Burke. She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Church and graduated from Central High School. Prior to retirement she was a supervisor at the Bell Telephone Company.

    Surviving are several cousins.

    She was preceded in death by a brother Edward.

    A private funeral and Mass was held Monday morning in the Nativity of Our Lord Church. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
