He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Jerome and Mary Rose Sowinsky Devine Ossig and stepson of the late Carl Ossig. He attended Scranton Central High School and prior to retirement had been employed by Consolidated Molded Products.

    Surviving are several cousins.

    Funeral services and interment were held private at the convenience of the family. Cremation services were held at the Maple Hill Crematory.
