He was born in Scranton the son of the late Joseph F. and Kathleen Quinlan Snyder. He was a graduate of Scranton Preparatory High School, the University of Scranton where he received a Bachelor of Science in pre medicine. He received his medical degree from the Georgetown University, Washington, DC. He specialized in nephrology and was in practice with Kidney Specialists of Southern Nevada.

    He was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with his family.

    Also surviving is a daughter Johanna Snyder and a son, Sebastian Snyder, both at home; a brother, Paul Snyder and his wife Rita, Scranton; cousins, nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, Las Vegas, Nevada.
