He was born in Forest City, the son of the late Peter and Veronica Klazkowski Chrapowicki. He graduated from Scranton Technical High School and after high school he served with the 109^th regiment of the Pennsylvania National Guard.

    Surviving is a brother Peter Chropowicki and his wife June, Old Forge; several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by five sisters, Felicia Weiss, Julianna Janssen, Veronica Matzker, Helen Bernacki and Edna Lipski; two brothers, Anthony and Frank.

    Funeral services and interment were held private at the convenience of the family.
