He was born in Paterson, NJ, the son of the late Joan Atwell Miles. He was a graduate of Johnson Technical Institute and prior to his illness he was employed by the Asplundh Tree Expert Company.

    He loved spending time with his family, enjoyed hunting and family gatherings. He will be missed by his family and friends.

    Also surviving are two daughters, Amy Trochinsky, Peckville, Rebecca Trochinsky, Peckville; two sisters, Caren S. Holmes, Archbald, Barbara Fitch, Dunmore; two brothers, Wayne Owen, Jermyn, Kenneth Owen, Beach Lake; seven grandchildren, Joseph Bideganeta, Christopher Trochinsky, Oksana Zeoli, Brian Zeoli Jr., Allysa Zeoli, Alexander Novoczynski, Madison Novoczynski; nieces, nephews, cousins, sister in laws and brother in laws; his dog and companion, Brendle.

    He was preceded in death by a brother Richard H. Miles.

    A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with services by the Reverend Arthur W. Davis, Pastor of the Asbury United Methodist Church.
