Eleanor Dranshak

    Eleanor Dranshak, a lifelong resident of South Scranton died Friday morning in the Mountain View Care Center.

    She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late William and Mary Peckar Dranshak, a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and a member of Saint John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Scranton. Prior to retirement she had been employed by Gress Refrigerated Services and before that worked for the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company for 35 years.

    The family would like to thank the staff at the Mountain View Care Center for their kindness and compassionate care.

    Surviving are, a brother, Robert W. Dranshak, Dunmore; a sister Marion Barran, Moosic; two nieces, Linda M. Barran, Alexandria, VA, Deborah J. Gillotti and her husband Jay, Mercer Island, WA.

    The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, 436 Cedar Avenue, Scranton, with Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. in Saint John's Byzantine Catholic Church 310 Broadway Street, Scranton, by the Very Reverend Frank M. Twardzik, S.D.B. Interment, St. John's Byzantine Cemetery, South Scranton.

    Friends may call Monday 4 to 8 p.m. Parastas will be at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory the Mountain View Care Center, Auxiliary, 2309 Stafford Avenue Scranton, PA 18505.
